Trent Defense LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business founded by David Trent, an engineer with 25+ years of experience spanning intelligence, defense, and critical infrastructure.
David began his engineering career at 19, drafting blueprints for custom portable water well drilling equipment, before moving into network engineering at an Internet Service Provider.
He served in the U.S. Navy in the intelligence community at the National Security Agency, working in cryptography.
He later worked as a researcher in the University of Central Oklahoma's cybersecurity program within the Computer Science department.
From there, David's career moved deeper into national defense: supporting engineering on Raytheon's anti-ballistic missile radar systems, Northrop Grumman's Sentinel ICBM program, and PKI infrastructure development as a Network Engineer at the Defense Information Systems Agency.
Served as a Senior Systems Engineer supporting the Air Force AFMC Life Cycle Management Center's acquisition of quantum-resistant cryptography.
David holds an advanced degrees in Computer Science and Engineering.
Trent Defense doesn't carry a large permanent bench. Instead, we lead with senior engineering judgment, scope requirements precisely, and mobilize qualified talent fast once work is awarded.
We're also building internal AI-driven systems to run capture, requirements analysis, and operations more efficiently — so agencies get speed and rigor without paying for overhead they don't need.
